ORS 497.002
“Resident” and “nonresident” defined


Except as provided in ORS 497.006 (Certain persons as residents for licensing purposes), as used in this chapter:

(1)

(a)

“Resident” means a person who has physically resided in this state for not less than six consecutive months immediately prior to the date of making application for a license, tag or permit issued by the State Fish and Wildlife Commission.

(b)

“Resident” does not include a person:

(A)

Who merely owns real property or pays property taxes in this state; or

(B)

Who claims resident privileges in another state or country for any purpose.

(2)

“Nonresident” means any person other than a resident. [1973 c.723 §41; 2021 c.128 §1]
