Effective Dates; Cases Receiving Transitional Benefit Alternative (TBA)


(1)

The effective date for starting TBA benefits is the first day of the month after the TBA notice is mailed. The effective date cannot precede the date the Department has determined the client is no longer eligible for TANF.

(2)

Once a household begins to receive TBA benefits, the benefits are not changed until the end of the TBA period except that TBA benefits will be changed appropriately if a member of the household:

(a)

Leaves the household and applies for SNAP benefits as a member of another household; or

(b)

Becomes ineligible for TBA per OAR 461-135-0506 (Transitional Benefit Alternative (TBA) in the SNAP Program).
