Notice Rule for Rulemaking


Prior to the adoption, amendment, or repeal of any permanent rule, the State Archivist shall give notice of the proposed adoption, amendment, or repeal:

(1)

In the Secretary of State’s Bulletin referred to in ORS 183.360 (Publication of rules and orders) at least 21 days prior to the effective date.

(2)

By mailing a copy of the Notice to persons on the State Archivist’s mailing list established pursuant to ORS 183.335 (Notice)(8) at least 28 days before the effective date of the rule.

(3)

By mailing or furnishing a copy of the Notice to the following persons, organizations, or publications:

(a)

Oregon State Bar Bulletin;

(b)

Association of Oregon Counties Bulletin;

(c)

League of Oregon Cities;

(d)

Oregon Historical Society.

(e)

The Associated Press;

(f)

Capitol Press Room; and

(4)

By mailing a copy of the Notice to the legislators specified in ORS 183.335 (Notice)(15) at least 49 days before the effective date of the rule.
