Unarmed Combat Sports Competitor License


(1)

Unarmed combat sports competitors competing in Oregon must be licensed by the Oregon State Athletic Commission.

(2)

Anyone who applies for an unarmed combat sports competitor’s license must provide:

(a)

Evidence of recent or previous significant experience in an unarmed combat sport;

(b)

Show proof of proper training and demonstrate physical competence, which may include but is not limited to: competence in the elements of offense, defense, clean hitting, and physical ability to compete;

(c)

An unarmed combat sports competitor without prior experience may be required to demonstrate competency at a sparring session and be evaluated at that time by the Administrator or an authorized representative of the superintendent.
