Minimum Period of Confinement Pursuant to ORS 163.105 or 163.115

(1)

The minimum period of confinement for an adult person convicted of Aggravated Murder as defined by ORS 163.105 (Sentencing options for aggravated murder)(1) shall be thirty (30) years.

(2)

The minimum period of confinement for an adult person convicted of Aggravated Murder as defined by ORS 163.105 (Sentencing options for aggravated murder)(2) prior to December 6, 1984, shall be twenty (20) years.

(3)

The minimum period of confinement for a person sentenced to life for Murder under ORS 163.115 (Murder in the second degree) committed on or after June 30, 1995, shall be twenty-five (25) years.
