Services to Parents

(1)

The R & R shall provide consultation and/or assistance to parents on:

(a)

Finding, selecting, and maintaining a quality child care arrangement;

(b)

Sources for child care subsidies for low income families;

(c)

Available and appropriate child care;

(d)

Child care during nontraditional hours;

(e)

Available and appropriate child care and respite care services for children with special needs; and

(f)

Child care for sick children.

(2)

Access to referral information shall include telephone referrals to be made available for at least 20 hours per week of operation, including nontraditional hours.

(3)

The R & R shall make referrals to:

(a)

Certified or registered child care providers; and

(b)

Providers who are legally exempt from certification or registration.

(4)

The R & R shall make every effort to be accessible to parents in the service delivery area (SDA).
