Arrest and Detention of Parolee


(1)

When a paroled youth offender is absent from a community placement without authorization, has failed to abide by parole conditions, or has failed to respond successfully to parole, the superintendent, or designee, may issue an order for the arrest and detention of the youth offender, according to ORS 420.910 (Arrest and detention of escaped, absent or paroled youth offenders). The order must be based on reasonable belief that grounds exist for issuing the order.

The youth offender may be detained according to ORS 420.915 (Procedure upon apprehension of escapee, absentee or parole violator).
