Re-Establishment of Membership

No employee of the Federal Cooperative Extension Service or any other service for an employer participating in the system which mandates participation in the federal Civil Service Retirement System (CSRS) or Federal Employees Retirement System (FERS), who cancels membership in the Public Employees Retirement System pursuant to ORS 238.015 (Membership generally)(9)(b) or (c) may thereafter repay into the retirement fund the amount withdrawn upon cancellation, or in any other manner re-establish a right to benefits canceled by the withdrawal.
