Effective Dates; Reopen After Returned Mail; ERDC, SNAP


In the ERDC and SNAP programs, benefits may be reopened effective the first of the month when mail is returned by the U.S. Post Office marked “undeliverable, no forwarding address” in the following situation:

(1)

Benefits ended as of the last calendar day of the prior month;

(2)

The reason for the case closure was mail returned, no forwarding address; and

(3)

The client contacted the Department within the first calendar month following the case closure with a new mailing address.
