Management and Control Actions

Planned activity to manage forest insects and diseases on private lands will be developed with the consent of the appropriate landowner(s). In the event that a landowner ignores an actual or threatened impact of a forest insect or disease which has been deemed a public nuisance, then the State Forester shall, as prescribed in ORS 527.310 (Definitions for ORS 527.310 to 527.370)–527.400, plan, organize, direct, and carry out measures as may be necessary to control the problem.
