Appointment of Technical Advisory Committees and Work Groups

(1)

With the exception of subcommittees and work groups of the Board appointed by the Chair of the Board, the Chief Education Officer shall have the authority to appoint:

(a)

Advisory committees for the purpose of advising the Board on the adoption of Board rules; and

(b)

Technical advisory committees created to advise the Board and the Chief Education Officer on the implementation of policies adopted or under consideration for adoption by the Board.

(2)

The Chief Education Officer shall designate the chairpersons of any subcommittees or work groups established pursuant to this rule.
