Report of Visual Acuity or Field of Vision not Meeting DMV Standards


(1)

A physician or health care provider must submit a report to DMV if providing health care services to a person whose vision does not meet the standards established in OAR 735-062-0050 (Eyesight Check Content and Standards)(2).

(2)

Notwithstanding section (1) of this rule, a report is not required if by use of corrective lenses the person’s vision meets DMV vision standards under OAR 735-062-0050 (Eyesight Check Content and Standards) and a use of corrective lenses restriction is on the person’s driver license. For purposes of this rule, corrective lenses do not include bioptic or telescopic lenses.
