OAR 736-018-0025
State Park Uses
(1)
The Commission and Department recognize that certain state park uses are traditional in Oregon’s state parks. These traditional uses are described in the Department’s “Traditional State Park Uses” list. Traditional state park uses are consistent with the Commission and Department’s role as a public recreation provider.(2)
As provided by ORS 195.120 (Rules and planning goal amendments for parks required), when considering a local comprehensive plan amendment as required for local adoption of a master plan, a local government is not required to adopt an exception to Statewide Planning Goals 3 or 4 for park uses listed under OAR 660-034-0035 (Park Uses On Agricultural and Forest Land), provided the uses meet all other statewide goals and are provided for in a master plan adopted by the Department.
