Medical Records and Personal Appearance


A physician granted a license to practice medicine across state lines shall:

(1)

Comply with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations in this state governing the maintenance of patient medical records, including patient confidentiality requirements, regardless of the state where the medical records of any patient within this state are maintained; and

(2)

Produce patient medical records or other materials as requested by the Board and appear before the Board following receipt of a written notice issued by the Board. Failure of the physician to appear or to produce records or materials as requested shall constitute grounds for disciplinary action per ORS 677.190 (Grounds for suspending, revoking or refusing to grant license, registration or certification).
