Failure to Renew


(1)

A licensee who fails to renew a license must not perform work requiring the expired license.

(2)

A licensee who fails to renew a license may obtain a valid license within one year of the date the license expired if the licensee:

(a)

Reapplies for the license;

(b)

Pays the license renewal fee; and

(c)

Completes all outstanding continuing education requirements that accrued prior to license expiration.

(3)

A licensee who fails to renew under OAR 918-030-0200 (License Renewal Process) and fails to obtain a valid license in Section (2), must apply for the license under OAR 918-030-0020 (Application Process), including passing the appropriate examination.

(4)

Applicants reapplying under sections (2) or (3) of this rule are not required to re-qualify for examination or provide work history information unless the requirements for the license have changed since the applicant originally applied to the division.
