Evidence of fitness for appointment

Subject to rules adopted by the Oregon Department of Administrative Services under ORS 181A.215 (Oregon Department of Administrative Services to adopt rules relating to certain aspects of criminal records checks), the civil service board may require an applicant for a custodial position to furnish evidence satisfactory to the board of good character, mental and physical health, and such other evidence as the civil service board deems necessary to establish the applicant’s fitness. Notes of Decisions

Each applicant for employee, subcontractor or volunteer custodial position, whether within or outside of classified civil service, is subject to civil service board determination that applicant is fit for service and does not pose danger to children.
