Televised Unarmed Combat Sports Events


(1)

The directives contained in these rules apply to circumstances where the promoter either televises an event live or videotapes the event, or circumstances where the promoter contracts with another to televise or videotape the event. In the event the promoter contracts with another to televise or videotape an event, the contract which so provides must contain the following directives and the contracting parties must agree to compliance with such directive:

(a)

No competitor shall be directed to enter the ring or fenced area with less than adequate notice as determined by the inspector or an authorized representative of the superintendent;

(b)

During a round of unarmed combat sports, no camera operator may stand on the ring apron; and

(c)

A camera operator situated on a platform close to the ring apron, during a rest period, must be closer to a neutral corner than to any other part of the ring.

(2)

The promoter must provide an authorized representative of the superintendent with prior notice of the time and place of any production meetings which take place in Oregon in reference to a proposed televised event.
