Authority and Purpose

Authority: The authority for this rule is granted to the Director of the Department of Corrections in accordance with ORS 137.610 (Performance by Department of Corrections staff of duties of parole and probation officers appointed by judge), 137.630 (Duties of parole and probation officers), 179.040 (General powers and duties), 423.020 (Department of Corrections), 423.030 (Department not limited by ORS 423.020) and 423.075 (Director).

Purpose: The purpose of this rule is to specify the duties of parole and probation officers of Department of Corrections, as required by ORS 137.630 (Duties of parole and probation officers)
