OAR 340-260-0010
Purpose and Applicability

The purpose of OAR 340-260-0010 (Purpose and Applicability) through 340-260-0030 (Requirement for Recycling Automobile Air Conditioning Coolant) is to reduce the use of stratospheric ozone depleting chemicals, to recycle those chemicals already in use, and to encourage the use of less dangerous chemicals. The Environmental Quality Commission having determined that equipment for the recovery and recycling of chlorofluorocarbons from automobile air conditioners is affordable and available, intends that 340-260-0010 (Purpose and Applicability) through 340-260-0030 (Requirement for Recycling Automobile Air Conditioning Coolant) apply to persons handling automobile air conditioners.
