Complaint Records


A record shall be maintained by the Division of all complaints and any action taken on the complaint. Any information regarding the investigation of the complaint shall not be filed in the public file until the investigation has been completed.


The name, addresses, and other identifying information of the complainant, the resident, and any witnesses are confidential and shall not be placed in the public record.


Any person has the right to inspect and photocopy the public complaint files maintained by the Division. Disclosure of information for the public complaint file shall be governed by relevant statutes concerning public records and confidentiality.
