Definitions

“CTE Summer Youth Engagement Program Grant” means the grant established by section 1, Chapter 763, Oregon Law 2015 (Enrolled House Bill 3072).(2)
“High Demand” means having more than the median number of total (growth plus replacement) openings for statewide or a particular region.(3)
“High Wage” means a wage that is more than the all-industry, all-ownership median wage for statewide or a particular region.(4)
“Historically Underserved student” means an English language learner, a student of color, an economically disadvantaged student or a student with disabilities.(5)
“Industry Credential” means certification that can lead to a high wage and high demand job and has been approved by the Department of Education.(6)
“Program of Study” means a sequence of courses, aligned to industry standards at the secondary and post-secondary level, that integrates technical and career skill proficiencies with academic content and has been approved by the Oregon Department of Education.
