Record Keeping and Confidentiality

Criminal offender information obtained in the criminal records check is confidential. The Board must restrict the dissemination of information obtained in the criminal records check. Only those persons, as identified by the Board, with a demonstrated and legitimate need to know the information, may have access to criminal records check records. Any request to review criminal offender information must be made in person at the Board office and the information will be reviewed in the presence of Board staff. Original documents will be retained by the Board.

Sharing information. Final fitness determination results may be shared pursuant to ORS 181A.195 (Criminal records check)(10)(c)(A).
