Mental Health and Developmental Disability Services Division Rules for Assignment and Treatment

The Legislature has provided that the Mental Health and Developmental Disability Services Division shall promulgate rules for assignment of persons to state mental hospitals under ORS 161.341 (Application for discharge or conditional release), 161.365 (Procedure for determining issue of fitness to proceed) and 161.370 (Determination of fitness to proceed) and for establishing standards and methods for evaluation and treatment of persons committed to a state hospital designated by the division or ordered to a community mental health program under 137.540 (Conditions of probation), 161.315 (Right of state to obtain mental examination of defendant) to 161.351 (Discharge by board), 192.690 (Exceptions to ORS 192.610 to 192.690) and 428.210 (Definitions for ORS 428.210 to 428.270).
