Scope

The Oregon Reach Code is a statewide optional construction standard approved by the Building Codes Division in consultation with the appropriate advisory board(s). The reach code:

(1)

Complies with ORS 455.500 (Reach Code);

(2)

Is separate from the state building code;

(3)

Is administered at the local level;

(4)

Does not limit the authority of the building official to consider other proposed alternate methods, modifications, or waivers encompassing the same subject matter; and
(5) Does not eliminate or modify other options available to builders and local government.
