Utilization

(1)

Volunteers shall not be placed in positions of authority over department employees or contractors.

(2)

Volunteers shall not perform professional services requiring certification or licensing unless the volunteer program manager or designee verifies the validity of the license.

(3)

Volunteers shall be treated with the same respect as staff and recognized as having unique roles that differ from, but are complimentary to staff roles.

(4)

Volunteers shall follow department rules and policies.
