Statutory Authority

These rules are adopted under the Board’s general rulemaking authority of ORS 656.726 (Duties and powers to carry out workers’ compensation and occupational safety laws)(5) to provide rules of practice and procedure for hearing and review proceedings under 656.001 (Short title) to 656.990 (Penalties), for exercising its continuing authority under 656.278 (Board has continuing authority to alter earlier action on claim) and providing for the payment of attorney fees in cases under the Workers’ Compensation Law pursuant to 656.388 (Approval of attorney fees required).
