Prehearing Conference


(1)

In accordance with ORS 656.726 (Duties and powers to carry out workers’ compensation and occupational safety laws)(5), an informal prehearing conference may be held by the Hearings Division to:

(a)

Expedite claim adjudication;

(b)

Amicably dispose of controversies, if possible;

(c)

Narrow issues; and

(d)

Simplify the method of proof at hearings.

(2)

Unless otherwise agreed among the parties and the Administrative Law Judge, the parties shall be given not less than ten days notice of the date of the conference.
