Restriction of Road Construction — Substantial Public Safety Risk


(1)

Operators shall not construct new roads on high landslide hazard locations or other very steep slopes with substantial downslope public safety risk.

(2)

Operators may reconstruct existing roads in high landslide hazard locations when the written plan required by OAR 629-623-0700 (Written Plans to Evaluate Public Safety Risk) incorporates site-specific practices as directed by a geotechnical specialist and demonstrates that road reconstruction will reduce landslide hazard.
