Advances to fund from account

  • repayment

(1)

The warrants shall be drawn as provided by law in favor of the Department of Human Services on funds in the State Vocational Rehabilitation Account in the State Treasury. The funds so advanced shall be used by the department for the revolving fund set forth in ORS 344.685 (Vocational Rehabilitation Revolving Fund) (1).

(2)

At any time during the biennium for which the advances mentioned in subsection (1) of this section were made, upon written request together with a check drawn on the Vocational Rehabilitation Revolving Fund by the department, the Secretary of State shall return such advances to the State Vocational Rehabilitation Account.

(a)

The State Treasurer shall, from time to time, advance from funds in the hands of the treasurer not required to meet current demands, to the Vocational Rehabilitation Revolving Fund established by ORS 344.685 (Vocational Rehabilitation Revolving Fund) (1), an amount not to exceed $40,000.

(b)

The amounts so advanced shall be returned without interest by the department to the State Treasurer at times and in amounts agreed upon between the State Treasurer and the department. [1967 c.483 §3; 1969 c.597 §170; 2001 c.900 §231]
