Plan Submission Process

(1) The community corrections plan shall be submitted to the Director of the Department of Corrections or designee no later than September 30th of each odd numbered year.
(2) An extension of time may be granted by the Director of the Department of Corrections or designee when necessary to allow completion of local agency negotiations, or to allow additional time to collect data or information necessary to complete the community corrections plan. Requests for this extension shall be submitted to the Director or designee in writing.
(3) The Director of the Department of Corrections or designee will review the proposed plan within 30 days of receipt.
(4) If the plan is not approved, the Director of the Department of Corrections or designee will provide recommendations to the county as to how to correct and/or improve the plan.
(5) When approved by the Director of the Department of Corrections or designee, the community corrections plan will become a part of the intergovernmental agreement between the state and the county.
(6) No modifications to an approved plan shall be placed into effect without prior written notification to Director of the Department of Corrections or designee.
