Impairment Criteria; SFPSS


(1)

To be eligible for the SFPSS program, an individual must be receiving TANF benefits and the Department has determined that the individual:

(a)

Meets the listing of impairments found in 20 C.F.R. Part 404, Subpart P, Appendix 1; or

(b)

Meets the medical vocational guidelines found in 20 C.F.R. Part 404, Subpart P, Appendix 2 for SSI; or

(c)

Meets the definition of disability in 20 C.F.R. § 404.1505 or 416.905.

(2)

If an individual is unable to do so, the Department will obtain medical evidence that documents a claim of physical or mental impairment.
