Exemption from Reforestation for Wildlife Food Plots
(1)
A landowner may utilize a portion of their property for the establishment of one or more wildlife food plots. The establishment of wildlife food plots in lieu of reforestation is an allowable forest operation under ORS 527.678 (Wildlife food plots). The purpose of this rule is to allow landowners to establish or increase the area of food or forage available to wildlife, and to exempt a percentage of their property from reforestation requirements following timber harvest.(3)
