Contracting for Services


Only Oregon licensed and bonded Water Supply Well Constructors may advertise services or enter into a contract, either written or oral, to construct, alter, convert, or abandon a water supply well. Any written bid for a project which includes the construction, alteration, conversion, or abandonment of a water supply well must provide:

(1)

A bid or estimate for the work associated with water supply well construction signed by a Water Supply Well Constructor, who is licensed and bonded in the State of Oregon; and

(2)

A statement by the licensed and bonded Water Supply Well Constructor that the work will be completed in accordance with Oregon Ground Water Law (ORS Chapter 537 (Appropriation of Water Generally)) and the Rules and Regulations for the Construction, Maintenance, and Abandonment of Water Supply Wells in Oregon (OAR chapter 690, divisions 200–230).
