Purpose and Objectives


The purpose of OAR chapter 813, division 330 of the administrative rules is to implement the Wildfire Damage Housing Relief (WDHR) Program. Funding for WDHR comes from the Wildfire Damage Housing Relief Account, as established in ORS 458.620 (Oregon Housing Fund) and described in ORS 458.667 (Wildfire Damage Housing Relief Account). Oregon Housing and Community Services (OHCS) is designated as the state agency responsible for administering state and federal antipoverty programs. The purpose of WDHR, which is one such program, is to provide financial assistance to eligible households who have experienced a loss of, or incurred damage to, housing due to wildfire.
