Use of Funds

(1)

OHCS shall provide WDHR services in the form of grants in the amount of $7,000 to each eligible household. OHCS may reduce or deny a grant if the household has received insurance proceeds or other compensation for all or part of the loss of or damage to housing due to wildfire.

(2)

If the full payment of approved applications for WDHR services would exceed the available balance of the amount allocated to WDHR through the Wildfire Damage Housing Relief Account, OHCS may make pro-rata reductions in grant amounts to increase the number of households who receive WDHR services.

(3)

OHCS shall award WDHR services to eligible households within 30 days of receiving a complete application.
(4) Notwithstanding paragraph (3) above, OHCS may delay awarding WDHR funds to eligible households until FEMA has made Individual Assistance Program final determinations, if applicable, to comply with federal sequence of delivery and duplication of benefits requirements.
