Waiver of examination requirement


The State Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology may waive the examination described in ORS 681.290 (Examination of candidates) and grant a license to:

(1)

An applicant who holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association in the area for which the person is applying for a license.

(2)

An audiology applicant who is certified by the American Board of Audiology. [Formerly 694.385; 1985 c.754 §1; 1995 c.280 §11; 2005 c.698 §9; 2011 c.133 §6]

Notes of Decisions

Expert testimony defining practice of audiology was not necessary for Board determination of whether applicant for license to practice audiology was entitled to waiver of examination under grandfather clause. Scheurer v. Board of Examiners, 31 Or App 935, 571 P2d 1273 (1977)
