Emergency orders of suspension or restriction


In addition to other actions authorized under ORS 97.948 (Grounds for discipline by director for violation of ORS 97.923 to 97.949) (2), the Director of the Department of Consumer and Business Services may:


Issue an emergency order suspending or restricting a certificate or registration or ordering a certified provider or master trustee or an entity acting as a certified provider or master trustee to cease and desist from specified conduct; or


Take other action deemed necessary by the director in the circumstances.


The director shall promptly provide opportunity for hearing pursuant to ORS chapter 183.


Emergency orders are:


Effective when issued;


Reviewable as provided in ORS 183.480 (Judicial review of agency orders); and


Enforceable in the courts of this state. [2007 c.661 §23; 2012 c.7 §6]
