Timely Submission of Claims and Data
(1)
All claims for services must be submitted within 120 days of the date of service. Claims older than 120 days from the date of service will not be paid, except as provided for in section (2) and (3) of this rule.(2)
If a claim is denied, the claim must be resolved within 120 days of the date of the denial. Claims older than 120 days from the date of denial will not be paid, except as provided for in section (3) of this rule.(3)
When the Center has made an error that caused the provider not to be able to bill within 120 days of the date of service, then the claim may be submitted to the Center. The error must be confirmed by the Center.(4)
Client data not related to payment of the claim may be updated or corrected at any time after the date of service.(5)
Ancillary providers must provide results of services to enrolling providers within 14 calendar days from the date of service.(6)
Enrolling providers must provide the ScreenWise BCC with enrollment and eligibility information immediately or within five calendar days from the date of enrollment. All other data must be submitted within 90 days from the date of enrollment. In the event that a case requires additional diagnostic procedures that exceed 90 days from the date of enrollment, the data must be submitted immediately upon receipt.
