Online Teaching
(1)
Any teacher employed by an Oregon school district to deliver an online course or program outside of the school district must hold a valid and active Oregon teaching license appropriate for the subject areas being taught.(2)
An out-of-state teacher employed by an Oregon public school district to deliver an online course or program in or outside of Oregon must provide verification satisfactory to the Commission that the teacher holds a valid and active non-provisional teaching license from any National Association of State Directors of Teacher Education and Certification (NASDTEC) jurisdiction appropriate for the grade level and subject matter of the online course or program.(3)
Any school district may contract with a post-secondary institution accredited by the Northwest Association of Colleges and Universities for online instruction in grades nine (9) through twelve (12) provided the provisions of ORS 342.173 (Effect of employing certain persons) have been met.
