Control over fund by department

  • use of moneys


The State Department of Fish and Wildlife shall have access to and control of the moneys held in the Nongame Wildlife Fund, but shall use such moneys only to protect and preserve nongame wildlife and their habitat. [1979 c.566 §4]

Fish and Wildlife Commission has statutory authority to provide by rule for is suance of special ceremonial hunting permits for specific tribes that are not otherwise allowed under hunting and fishing agreement between federal and state governments and that tribe.
