Receipt, Opening, and Recording of Bids


(1)

Receipt. Each bid, and any bid changes, upon receipt, shall be stored in a secure place until the bid opening. If bids are opened inadvertently, or are opened prior to the time and date set for bid opening because they were improperly identified, the opened bids shall be re-sealed and stored for opening at the correct time.

(2)

Opening and recording. Bids shall be opened publicly, at the time, date, and place designated in the Notice of Timber Sale. To the extent practical, the name of each bidder, the bid price(s), and such other information as considered appropriate shall be read aloud. Award decisions shall not be made at the bid opening.
