ORS 339.400
Training
(1)
An education provider shall provide to school employees each school year training on:(a)
The prevention and identification of abuse and sexual conduct;(b)
The obligations of school employees under ORS 339.388 (Report of abuse or sexual conduct) and 419B.005 (Definitions) to 419B.050 (Authority of health care provider to disclose information) and under policies adopted by the school board to report suspected abuse and suspected sexual conduct; and(c)
Appropriate electronic communications with students as provided by ORS 339.372 (Policies of school boards on reporting of suspected abuse and suspected sexual conduct) (11).(2)
An education provider shall provide to contractors, agents and volunteers each school year information on:(a)
The prevention and identification of abuse and sexual conduct;(b)
The obligations of school employees under policies adopted by the school board to report abuse and sexual conduct; and(c)
Appropriate electronic communications with students as described in ORS 339.372 (Policies of school boards on reporting of suspected abuse and suspected sexual conduct) (11).(3)
An education provider shall make the training provided under subsection (1) of this section available each school year to contractors, agents and volunteers and to parents and legal guardians of students who attend a school operated by the education provider. The training shall be provided separately from the training provided to school employees under subsection (1) of this section.(4)
An education provider shall make available each school year to students who attend a school operated by the education provider a training that is designed to prevent abuse and sexual conduct. [Formerly 339.377; 2012 c.92 §8; 2019 c.618 §10]
