Procedure for demoting or dismissing classified school employees

(1)

As used in this section, “classified school employee” includes all employees of a public school district except those for whom a teaching or administrative license is required as a basis for employment in a public school district.

(2)

A classified school employee who has been demoted or dismissed shall be entitled to a hearing before the school board if a written request is filed with the board within 15 days of the dismissal or demotion.

(3)

School district employees subject to the civil service provisions of ORS chapter 242 are exempt from the provisions of this section. [Formerly 342.663]
