Labeling


(1)

The principal display panel of food prepared in an exempt residential kitchen must contain the following statement, “This product is homemade and is not prepared in an inspected food establishment.”

(2)

The principal display label must also include:

(a)

The business name, phone number, and address for the food establishment;

(b)

The name of the product;

(c)

The ingredients of the product in descending order by weight;

(d)

The net weight or net volume of the product;

(e)

Any applicable allergen warnings as specified in The Food Allergen Labeling & Consumer Protection Act of 2004 (FALCPA); and

(f)

If the label provides any nutrient content claim, health claim or other nutritional information, product nutritional information as described in Title 21, Part 101 of the Code of Federal Regulations (2015).
