Compliance and Corrective Action


(1) If a violation is found, the district must be in compliance with the final order and implement any corrective action in accordance with the terms of the final order. Corrective action must be completed by the beginning of the school year next following the date of the final order, unless an extension is granted by the Director of the Oregon Department of Education pursuant to ORS 327.103 (Standard school presumed)(3)(a).
(2) If the district does not comply with the final order or implement corrective action in accordance with the terms of a final order, the department shall order appropriate remedies which may include:
(a) Withholding any distribution authorized under the laws of this state from the State School Fund; and
(b) Any other appropriate remedy.
(3) The department may not award damages or attorney fees to either party.
