Attorney fees


In any proceeding brought to modify or compel compliance with an order of the court issued under ORS 109.124 (Definitions for ORS 109) to 109.230 (Legality of contract between mother and father of child born out of wedlock), the court may render judgment awarding to a party, or directly to the party’s attorney, a sum of money determined to be reasonable as an attorney fee and costs and expenses of suit, which judgment may include expert witness fees, in preparation for and at trial and on appeal. Note: 109.237 (Attorney fees) was enacted into law by the Legislative Assembly but was not added to or made a part of ORS chapter 109 or any series therein by legislative action. See Preface to Oregon Revised Statutes for further explanation.
