Specialty code inspection and plan review fee authority

disposition of certain fee amounts

Fee amounts shall not be established by the Director of the Department of Consumer and Business Services or any municipality for fees charged by persons licensed under ORS 455.457 (Licensing specialty code inspectors and plan reviewers).

Fees charged by a person licensed under ORS 455.457 (Licensing specialty code inspectors and plan reviewers) shall include a surcharge equal to the percentage amounts established for municipalities under ORS 455.210 (Fees) (4)(a) and (b) and 455.220 (Surcharge on building permit fees) (1). The surcharges shall be remitted quarterly to the department to partially defray the department’s administration, inspection and training costs incurred pursuant to ORS 455.455 (Building inspection and plan review), 455.457 (Licensing specialty code inspectors and plan reviewers), 455.461 (Specialty code inspectors and plan reviewers) and 455.463 (Specialty code inspection and plan review). Funds received by the department under this section shall be deposited in the Consumer and Business Services Fund created by ORS 705.145 (Consumer and Business Services Fund).
